We are thrilled to announce that Rob Wendin has joined us at BMS Re as Managing Director of our new Global Healthcare Liability Division. Rob joined our London office in December 2023, with six individuals joining since his appointment, making the team the largest and most experienced medical malpractice team in the London Market. This new division will work alongside BMS Re’s Treaty Healthcare Liability team – led by Clare Stenson - ensuring cedents, hospitals, integrated systems and captives continue to benefit from best-in-class service for which BMS is renowned. Rob’s primary focus will be working with BMS’s clients to develop and provide access to new market capacity, innovative solutions, and risk management advice, and provide advice and transactional services such as technical coverage issues for medical malpractice and associated liabilities. Canavan, CPCU, ARe, AIAF will be joining us at BMS as Chief Operating Officer (US) effective 1 May 2024.     John joins us from AIG, where he previously held the position of Global Chief Operating Officer of Reinsurance.     As US COO, Canavan will direct BMS Re’s operational expansion, from digital and technological capabilities to collaboration with its London and Bermuda operations, while contributing to the group’s strategic goals.
